We are seeking a Lead Cloud Operations Engineer who will oversee the management of production environments, including systems and databases, essential for supporting vital business functions.

This role involves performing administration and analysis across multiple production environments while proposing innovative solutions to enhance availability, performance, and supportability.

This position presents an opportunity to merge extensive technical expertise with operational knowledge of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure, providing essential support for a wide range of complex production environment issues related to significant growth, scalability, cloud utilization, and stringent performance and availability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

What You Will Do:
Install, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize OCI Cloud Infrastructure, including both hardware and software components in a secure environment. Provide advanced technical support for complex issues, which may involve leading problem management initiatives and offering management updates. Coordinate escalated support cases and guide relevant internal technical teams and/or third-party vendors to resolution.

Oversee Oracle production environments; assist with server operating system and application upgrades, bug resolutions, and patch management; and participate in standardization projects for both hardware and software within the Oracle technology framework while ensuring consistent system uptime as expected in a cloud setting.

Provide on-call support on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance required. Must be eligible/willing to undergo a polygraph examination. TS/SCI with Poly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Linux System Administration, Networking, Storage, Compute, and Virtualization.
  • Experience in participating in or leading incident management sessions.
  • Strong customer focus and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
  • Background in cloud technical support, operations, NOC, or similar roles is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven ability to rapidly acquire new technical skills and train others.
