Role Responsibilities:
As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will engage in the design and implementation of robust systems and software leveraging cloud technologies to support a multifaceted program.

In alignment with DevOps methodologies, you will be involved in key deliverables across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including:

  • Engaging in software development projects to foster innovation and enhancements,
  • Addressing complex technical challenges and providing solutions,
  • Designing, prototyping, and deploying solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions utilizing Infrastructure platform services,
  • Exhibiting a comprehensive understanding of system development, operations, and maintenance,
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and system administration tasks,
  • Utilizing coding skills to automate infrastructure and deployment processes,
  • Demonstrating experience with DevOps pipelines and IaC tools/frameworks such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Pulumi, Puppet, Jenkins, and Rundeck,
  • Possessing a solid grasp of advanced software development practices, with proficiency in Bash, Puppet, Groovy, YAML, JSON, Java, and Python,
  • Utilizing AWS CLI effectively,
  • Evaluating and enhancing existing DevOps/CI/CD processes to advance the program,
  • Collaborating closely with team members, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to ensure alignment and implementation of User Stories,
  • Documenting and executing systems software development, including the deployment of build artifacts across various environments using GitFlow constructs,
  • Communicating essential project information to team members to foster team cohesion and effectiveness,
  • Creating innovative solutions to address the technical requirements of clients.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree along with 12+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Key Skills:
Expertise in Java and JavaScript, along with a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience with DevOps toolsets/practices is essential. Candidates should have direct experience with software testing performance tools, such as J-unit, and familiarity with Agile development environments.

Preferred Experience:
Experience with NodeJS, Ruby on Rails, Spark, Tableau, Elastic Search, Nagios, ReactJS, UIBootstrap, Katalon, and Human Centered Design is advantageous. Knowledge of AWS Data management services and AWS certification is also desirable.
