Position Overview: Trusted Concepts, a division of Two Six Technologies, is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong background in AWS cloud systems, particularly in CI/CD environments. This position involves working with Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Mission Capabilities and Systems, focusing on the creation of highly available and cost-effective solutions through DevSecOps pipelines and microservices architecture within Kubernetes environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver analysis, recommendations, and prototypes tailored to well-architected cloud systems, software modernization, API development, system automation, and SIGINT mission integration and evaluation by:
    • Designing, developing, and automating software for new, migrated, and re-hosted cloud-enabled mission capabilities utilizing CI/CD pipelines deployed on cloud and Kubernetes.
    • Architecting and coordinating modernization efforts to consolidate legacy system components into efficient cloud solutions, optimizing Kubernetes deployments to reduce costs and meet maintenance requirements.
    • Managing the integration of common software, services, APIs, and applications.
    • Maximizing automation to enhance operational effectiveness.
    • Evaluating and making architectural recommendations based on latency, computational resources, and storage needs.
    • Understanding and recommending best practices for automatic failover, system recovery, and replication challenges.
    • Evaluating system tuning and implementing optimal configurations.
    • Building secure systems capable of obtaining ATO, including knowledge of the RMF process and control achievement.
    • Recommending and implementing system monitoring tools.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Cloud Engineering Lead or hands-on Cloud Architect, preferably at an enterprise level.
  • Experience leading teams to build new, migrated, or re-hosted cloud-enabled mission capabilities or optimizing existing systems in the cloud (AWS or Azure).
  • Ability to produce and present findings and recommendations to colleagues and senior-level clients.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud implementation (AWS Lambda).
  • 5+ years of enterprise cloud architecture experience, particularly in complex automation systems.
  • 5+ years of CI/CD experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Security+ certification within six months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current certifications such as AWS Certified Developer Associate or Solutions Architect - Associate, or Microsoft Certified Azure Developer or Solutions Architect.
  • Knowledge and expertise in applying principles of ICD-503/Risk Management Framework and achieving and maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Experience with cloud-based networking infrastructure products, Authentication and Authorization (A&A), Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC), and network change requests to achieve connectivity.

Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
