In the role of Social Marketing Strategist, you will work alongside a dynamic team of social marketers to transform and elevate our social media presence across various global channels. As a senior individual contributor, your primary focus will be on integrating a profound understanding of social analytics and insights with overarching platform strategies and campaign ideation to deliver exceptional social marketing experiences and activations.

Figma is at a pivotal moment as we transition from a single-product, regional presence to a multi-product, global entity. Our social media strategy is vital in navigating this change, presenting a unique opportunity to lead, take calculated risks, and create something extraordinary.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a growing team of social marketers to design and execute top-tier strategies, creative activations, and engaging content.
  • Establish a comprehensive vision, strategy, and roadmap for Figma's social media presence, including a clear framework for prioritization, content creation, metrics, and innovation.
  • Define and promote a systematic approach to social ideation applicable across various product lines, audience segments, and brand moments.
  • Oversee the complete strategy from ideation to execution for high-profile social media activations aimed at introducing Figma to new audiences.
  • Adopt an insights-driven methodology, proactively identifying and validating qualitative and quantitative data from all platforms to enhance ongoing tactics and major activations.
  • Engage deeply with cross-functional teams, providing subject matter expertise and social insights to elevate marketing execution and inspire new ideas and experiences.
  • Deliver compelling presentations that communicate ideas and recommendations, inspiring confidence and driving strategic growth.
  • Work collaboratively to develop, map, and implement copy and content across all of Figma's social media channels.
  • Foster and enhance engagement across priority social media platforms, expanding both the reach and depth of Figma's communities to facilitate sustainable growth.
  • Build new partnerships with platforms, vendors, and brand collaborators to cultivate an ecosystem of leading strategies and capabilities.
Potential Projects:
  • Creating and executing the next evolution of Figma's social strategies at a platform level, facilitating our shift from a single-product focus to a multi-product global strategy.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to develop a pipeline of tailored social marketing activations.
  • Defining Figma's strategy for international social marketing community engagement and growth.
  • Collaborating with leadership to uncover untapped opportunities for innovative, first-to-market strategies and audience expansion.
Qualifications:
  • A portfolio showcasing impactful social marketing initiatives at both content and campaign levels.
  • Over 10 years of experience in digital/social marketing, with a proven track record of executing campaigns that resonate with diverse audience types and personas.
  • Extensive experience in defining, advocating for, and executing comprehensive social strategies at a platform level, including ongoing tactics and major activations.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and lead the development of high-profile social activations, including facilitating cross-functional brainstorming sessions to identify and refine promising ideas.
  • Expertise in translating social data into actionable insights at both content and campaign levels, with a history of identifying unexpected opportunities.
  • Proven collaborative leadership skills, capable of inspiring confidence among cross-functional partners through expertise, diplomacy, and executive presence.
  • Skilled in crafting and refining social copy and creative content, aligning platform methodologies with situational expertise to optimize content for specific brand moments.
  • Experience in nurturing and growing complex social communities, with a preference for managing across multiple personas and product lines.
