The role of a Financial Accountant involves the preparation and examination of financial documents and reports, as well as managing the comprehensive accounting operations for Abundant Life Church.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

Conduct thorough reviews and audits of expense accounts, corporate credit card transactions, and payables.

Execute bank and credit card reconciliations with precision.

Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure timely payment execution.

Make necessary adjustments to financial records as required.

Record all journal entries to guarantee accurate account coding.

Complete monthly and annual financial closings punctually.

Generate financial statements and tailored financial reports for analytical purposes.

Take overall responsibility for bookkeeping tasks.

Perform additional administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

This position is situated in a dynamic, professional office setting, requiring regular use of office equipment such as telephones and copiers. Proficiency in typing, proofreading, and computer skills (including Microsoft Office) is essential, along with a keen attention to detail in administrative functions. A passion for ministry is vital, as well as the ability to exhibit patience, respect, empathy, and professionalism when representing Abundant Life Church.

Education and Experience
