The role of the Accountant involves the preparation and evaluation of financial statements and reports, as well as the management of the comprehensive accounting operations for Abundant Life Church.

Core Duties
Examine and verify expense accounts, corporate credit card transactions, and payables.
Conduct reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts.
Oversee accounts payable and ensure timely processing of payments.
Make necessary adjustments to the financial records as required.
Record all journal entries to guarantee proper account coding for expenses.
Finalize monthly and annual financial records punctually.
Generate financial statements and various tailored financial reports for analytical purposes.
Assume overall responsibility for bookkeeping tasks.
Perform additional administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
This position is situated in a dynamic, professional office setting and regularly utilizes office equipment such as telephones, copiers, and standard office tools. Proficiency in typing, proofreading, and computer skills (including Microsoft Office) is essential, along with a keen attention to detail in administrative functions. A passion for ministry is crucial, as well as the ability to demonstrate patience, respect, empathy, and courtesy while representing Abundant Life Church.

Education and Experience
- A degree in accounting is mandatory.
