The role of the Accountant entails the preparation and examination of financial statements and reports, as well as managing the comprehensive accounting operations for Abundant Life Church.

Key Functions and Responsibilities
  • Conduct reviews and audits of expense accounts, corporate credit card transactions, and payables.
  • Execute bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Oversee accounts payable and ensure timely processing of payments.
  • Make necessary adjustments to the financial records of Abundant Life.
  • Record all journal entries to guarantee accurate account coding.
  • Complete monthly and annual financial closures promptly.
  • Generate financial statements and various tailored financial reports for analysis.
  • Take responsibility for all bookkeeping tasks.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
This position operates within a dynamic, professional office setting and frequently utilizes standard office equipment.

Proficiency in typing, proofreading, and computer skills (including expertise in Microsoft Office) is essential, along with a keen attention to detail in administrative responsibilities.

A passion for ministry is crucial, along with the patience, respect, empathy, and courtesy necessary to represent Abundant Life to the broader community.
