Position Overview

We are in search of a Technical Solutions Engineer to join our team, dedicated to delivering exceptional technical assistance for our Test and Measurement offerings, including oscilloscopes and arbitrary waveform generators. This role involves close collaboration with our Customer Service and Repair Service Teams to ensure seamless support and act as a vital link between Product Managers, Sales teams, and clients.
  • Deliver technical assistance through various channels such as phone, email, in-person visits, trade shows, and training sessions.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of Teledyne FLIR product specifications.
  • Engage with clients and sales engineers to determine the most suitable products and measurement methodologies.
  • Work directly with electronic applications, focusing on measurement techniques.
  • Identify recurring technical challenges and initiate corrective actions in collaboration with Marketing and Sales.
  • Develop knowledge of competitive products, including their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Collaborate with design engineering to resolve customer inquiries effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with a focus on Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to work alongside customers and sales engineers to specify appropriate products and measurement techniques.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, as well as programming languages like Matlab, VisualBasic, or VisualC++.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, capable of producing and editing application notes and presentations.
  • A genuine interest in electronics.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Training will be provided.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training and customer engagements.
Preferred Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with electronics applications and third-party integration software like MATLAB, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and similar tools.
  • Experience with MATLAB, VisualBasic, or VisualC++ programming languages is advantageous.
  • Ability to integrate products into systems, including remote control via GPIB, USB, LAN, or LXI.
Salary Range:
$60,500.00-$80,000.00

The anticipated salary range for this position is an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be determined based on various factors, including location, education, work experience, key skills, and position type.
