Job Overview

Clippard Instrument Laboratory, Inc., a prominent producer of miniature control solutions, is in search of a Design Engineer to enhance our Engineering team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in improving lives through the innovative design of miniature fluid control systems. Your focus will be on creating essential components and subsystems for various sectors including life sciences, medical, analytical, and industrial OEM manufacturers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients and the sales team to ensure comprehensive understanding of project and product specifications.
  • Generate unique and inventive designs or adapt existing products to fulfill customer needs.
  • Prepare thorough engineering documentation, encompassing product specifications, assembly instructions, and detailed drawings.
  • Construct and evaluate prototypes to guarantee that products align with customer expectations regarding quality and performance.
  • Oversee multiple projects to adhere to individual customer timelines.
  • Facilitate effective communication across various teams, both internal and external.
  • May involve limited travel for customer visits or trade exhibitions.
  • Report directly to the Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

Applicants must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Experience with mechanical and/or electrical components and control systems.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling.
  • Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD systems.
