Senior Financial Analyst for STS Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • The Senior Financial Analyst for STS Operations will oversee all facets of budget implementation, including providing guidance, monitoring progress, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Support the Engineering and Technical Services contract with the U.S. Army.
  • Collaborate with Department Managers to formulate budgets, monitor actual expenditures, review financial reports, and develop Estimates at Completion (EACs).
  • Coordinate with the Project Operations Group and Mission Test Directors to ensure the successful execution of Technical Directives.
  • Partner with various departments to enhance processes, prioritize tasks, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Work alongside other functions to assess and analyze labor, material, and direct costs related to contract scope.
  • Aid in the creation of Basis of Estimates, including tracking progress, validating actuals, ensuring program consistency, and confirming the integrity of the budgeting methodology.
  • Interface and collaborate with all management levels within the program.
  • Conduct thorough and intricate analyses of inputs to validate the accuracy of budget data.
  • Assist in the training and support of finance personnel, covering fundamental regulatory requirements and budgeting processes.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reports on budget execution status to fulfill the needs of Department Managers.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

  • Effective planning and scheduling skills that facilitate the completion of proposals in alignment with customer and organizational requirements.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in Cost Accounting or Budgeting.

Additional Qualifications

  • Willingness to work occasional non-standard hours or weekends to meet specific project or mission needs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Active security clearance is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid passport prior to deployment.
