Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Technician to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a critical care professional, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinarians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care for critical cases, consistently evaluating patient needs and developing effective care plans.
  • Calculate and administer CRI's, providing advanced hospitalization care and monitoring patient progress.
  • Perform in-house laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Place IV catheters and administer medications as needed, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Conduct thorough patient rounds, providing detailed reports and updates to veterinarians and clients.
  • Perform safe restraint for fractious and frightened patients, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
  • Obtain vital signs, maintain accurate medical records, and understand when to alert veterinarians.
  • Advocate for patients and clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry, with a focus on critical care.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, clients, and veterinarians.
  • An active CA state RVT license is preferred but not required.
Work Schedule
  • 4/10 schedule, Wed-Sat, 12pm-10pm.
  • Shift differential available for swing shifts.
  • Pay range: $30-$40/hour (RVT), $26-$34/hour (VA).
