We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Critical Care team at Ethos Veterinary Health in Dublin. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our veterinarians, while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care for critical cases, consistently evaluating patient needs and developing effective care plans.
- Calculate and administer CRI's, providing advanced hospitalization care and monitoring patient responses.
- Perform in-house laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Proficiently place IV catheters and administer medications, maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Conduct accurate and detailed patient rounds, communicating effectively with veterinarians and other team members.
- Perform safe restraint for fractious and frightened patients, prioritizing patient and staff safety.
- Obtain TPR's, maintain accurate medical records, and understand when to alert veterinarians.
- Advocate for patients and clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface with staff and clients.
- An active CA state RVT license is preferred but not required.
4/10 schedule, Wed-Sat, Swing Shift 12pm-10pm. $3 hourly shift differential for swing shifts.
