Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise designated production line(s) during the manufacturing and packaging processes.
  • Guide line personnel to enhance productivity and ensure quality, serving as a bridge between production supervisors and staff.

Qualifications (Education/Experience)

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Relevant manufacturing experience is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years in food manufacturing is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Basic quantitative and analytical skills are advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with peers and leadership are necessary.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions, report equipment issues, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Capacity to adapt quickly and manage frequent changes.

Essential Functions

  • Implement the daily production schedule as a process owner, focusing on minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth shift transitions to fulfill customer orders.
  • Guarantee timely and precise scaling, mixing, sheeting, and baking of products to uphold processing standards independently.
  • Oversee all operational checks and maintain data entry into daily production reporting systems.
  • Act as a champion for the 5S methodology.
  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve high performance levels, ensuring established metrics are met.
  • Train, coach, and mentor production team members to meet or exceed performance expectations.
  • Serve as a backup Supervisor when necessary.
  • Utilize the quality control point system and implement corrective actions for any deviations.
  • Manage the Work In Progress (WIP) traceability system within the production area.
  • Follow allergen control program guidelines, including equipment cleaning and verification.
  • Take corrective actions as directed by the Supervisor based on pre-operation and daily self-assessment audits.
  • Lead investigations into production issues, identifying root causes and developing effective solutions.
  • Utilize performance measurement systems to guide actions related to employee safety, food safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
  • Address food safety and quality deficiencies promptly.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and uphold the integrity of the environmental health and safety system in accordance with the Safety Manual.
  • Participate in mandatory training programs for Quality Food Safety (QFS) and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and ensure compliance among team members.
  • Support the integrity of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) system by adhering to the policies outlined in the QFS Manual.
  • Contribute to food safety programs, quality standards, and the legality of manufactured products.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
