Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee designated production lines in the manufacturing and packaging processes.
- Guide production staff to enhance productivity and ensure product quality, serving as a bridge between supervisors and team members.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Proven experience in manufacturing is essential.
- A minimum of 3 years in food production is preferred.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
- Basic analytical and quantitative skills are advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and management.
- Ability to collaborate across departments, report equipment issues, and maintain confidentiality.
- Capacity to adapt quickly and manage frequent changes.
Essential Functions
- Implement the daily production schedule as a process owner, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth shift transitions to fulfill customer orders.
- Ensure the accurate scaling, mixing, sheeting, and baking of products while adhering to processing standards independently.
- Conduct all necessary operational checks and maintain production reporting systems.
- Champion the 5S methodology and drive performance to meet established metrics.
- Train and mentor production team members to exceed performance expectations.
- Act as a backup Supervisor when necessary.
- Utilize the quality control point system and address any deviations promptly.
- Manage the Work In Progress (WIP) traceability system within the production area.
- Follow allergen control program guidelines, including cleaning and verification procedures.
- Take corrective actions as directed by the Supervisor based on audit findings.
- Lead investigations into production issues, identifying root causes and developing effective solutions.
- Use performance measurement systems to guide safety, food safety, quality, cost, and productivity initiatives.
- Address food safety and quality deficiencies as needed.
- Maintain a safe working environment and uphold the integrity of the environmental health and safety system.
- Participate in required training programs and ensure compliance among team members.
- Support food safety programs and uphold quality standards in all manufactured products.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
