Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise designated production lines during the manufacturing and packaging processes.
  • Lead production staff to enhance efficiency and product quality, serving as a communication bridge between supervisors and team members.

Qualifications (Education/Experience)

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Relevant manufacturing experience is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years in food production is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Basic analytical and quantitative skills are advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with peers and management are necessary.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments, report equipment issues, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Capacity to adapt quickly and manage frequent changes.

Essential Functions

  • Implement the daily production schedule effectively, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth shift transitions to fulfill customer orders.
  • Ensure accurate scaling, mixing, sheeting, and baking of products to uphold processing standards independently.
  • Oversee all operational checks and manage data entry into production reporting systems.
  • Champion the 5S methodology to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Drive team performance by training, coaching, and mentoring production members to meet or exceed performance metrics.
  • Act as a backup supervisor when necessary.
  • Utilize the quality control point system, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage the Work In Progress (WIP) traceability system within the production area.
  • Follow allergen control program guidelines, including cleaning and verification tasks.
  • Address corrective actions as directed by the supervisor based on audit findings.
  • Lead investigations into production issues, identifying root causes and developing effective solutions.
  • Utilize performance measurement systems to guide efforts in safety, food quality, cost management, and productivity.
  • Take necessary actions to rectify food safety and quality issues.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and uphold the integrity of the environmental health and safety system by adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Participate in mandatory training programs and ensure compliance among team members.
  • Support food safety initiatives, quality standards, and the legality of manufactured products.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
