Production Operations Supervisor

Position Overview: This role is pivotal in guaranteeing efficient and profitable production operations while fostering strong relationships with government representatives and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational processes, procedures, and controls to meet the organization's goals.
  • Maintain and report compliance to government agencies as required.
  • Manage bids and proposals for new business opportunities with government and commercial entities.
  • Facilitate effective communication between U.S. Government clients and internal teams.
  • Ensure proper documentation and implementation of contract modifications.
  • Provide accurate forecasting data and revenue projections.
  • Work autonomously, managing time efficiently while utilizing experience and judgment to achieve objectives.
  • Oversee one of the following organizational areas as directed: Engineering, Quality Control & Compliance, Maintenance, or Safety.
  • Offer leadership, supervision, and development opportunities to team members.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ensure all work in progress (WIP) is accurately identified.
  • Guarantee adherence to work instructions and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
  • Comply with all organizational policies.
  • Make informed staffing, wage, and performance decisions.
  • Foster positive employee relations.
  • Uphold the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality.
  • Utilize effective and respectful communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, including the use of mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, diverse team setting.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in operating basic computer equipment and standard software.
  • Ability to perform fundamental mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages).
  • Capable of effectively reading and interpreting industry-specific documentation.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record Check.
  • Verified eligibility for employment in the United States.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Standard work week (Monday to Friday) with core hours; occasional non-traditional hours may be required.
  • Basic vision is necessary.
  • Regularly works in a factory environment with high noise levels, machinery, conveyors, dust, chemicals, and temperature variations.
  • Occasionally works in an office setting, which includes:
    • Continuous sitting, use of computer monitors, mouse, keyboard, standard telephone, and verbal communication.
    • Occasional lifting, reaching, hand rotation, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

Additional Information:

  • Some travel within the state may be required, with limited travel outside the state.
