Job Title: Administrative Intern Non-Career Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Administrative Intern Non-Career Position. This role will provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department and assist with various projects and tasks.

Job Summary:

The Administrative Intern Non-Career Position will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Supporting HR projects and initiatives
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting with data entry and record-keeping
Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating with the Personnel Services Officer on day-to-day tasks
  • Assisting in the design and development of departmental process and procedural documents
  • Supporting HR projects or initiatives by creating tracking mechanisms of the division's workflow
  • Conducting research, gathering and organizing data, and providing initial analysis for various HR projects
  • Assisting with division audit or reporting requirements
  • Assisting with internal communication including drafting announcements and updating HR-related content on the department's intranet
  • Serving as a liaison to city-wide departments for the resolution of administrative issues
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in a junior or senior standing, or have graduated with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university within one year from the time of application
  • Have a strong work ethic and attendance record
  • Have attention to detail and the ability to maintain professional work relationships
  • Have experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Desirable Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working in Human Resources
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
