This full-time role focuses on the sales of Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) and various pipe valves and fittings (PVF) tailored for the oil and gas sector. The position is pivotal in maintaining relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities within the Wyoming and northern Colorado regions. To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in fulfilling all essential responsibilities effectively, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts professional sales outreach through in-person meetings, phone calls, and digital communication to engage customers and prospects involved in the OCTG/PVF procurement process.
- Effectively oversees large-scale and intricate customer projects.
- Utilizes supplier relationships to negotiate favorable pricing for project estimates.
- Provides mentorship and training to junior Sales Account Managers.
- Establishes ethical and professional relationships with clients, vendors, and colleagues based on trust and respect.
- Collaborates with inside sales support to generate commercial quotes and proposals aimed at maximizing profitability.
- Performs market analysis for designated territories to strategically position the company for commercial success.
- Coordinates with the Credit Department to manage the collection of outstanding receivables.
- Records customer interactions in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Addresses and resolves customer grievances.
- Works alongside the Inventory Coordinator to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
- Participates in inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Stays informed about new products and services in the market, providing recommendations to clients.
- Collaborates with the Sales Manager to create business forecasts and annual budgets.
- Engages in industry-related professional organizations.
- A high school diploma accompanied by ten (10) years of relevant sales experience; or a suitable combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Proven ability to manage large and complex OCTG/PVF orders and projects effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of OCTG/PVF products and related equipment.
- Strong expertise in sales and marketing strategies, financial principles, and computer operations.
- Self-driven with the capability to thrive in an unsupervised setting.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills; adept at listening, clarifying, and responding to inquiries.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute instructions.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol screening is required.
