Position Overview:
As the Chief Medical Integration Officer, you will oversee the integration of behavioral health and primary care services, guided by the principles of SAMHSA's Bi-Directional Integration Model. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of care provided within our healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, and other healthcare professionals within our Health Center and Community Wellness Programs.
- Engage in Quality Improvement initiatives for both behavioral health and primary care programs while managing administrative responsibilities.
- Establish effective communication with healthcare consumers, their families, and other providers to ensure optimal care delivery.
- Collaborate with clinical providers to integrate evidence-based guidelines into daily workflows, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and clarify expectations for team-based care, roles, responsibilities, and workflows to enhance team development.
- Review and assess evidence-based practice policies and standards to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

Performance Evaluation:
- Conduct ongoing reviews of provider performance in collaboration with Associate Medical Directors, Program Nurse Managers, and the Chief Medical Officer.
- Utilize systems to assess performance in direct care, treatment planning, discharge processes, and documentation.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Recruitment and Training:
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with management to develop and revise patient care standards, protocols, and procedures.
- Facilitate a coordinated and integrated approach to patient care through effective team collaboration.

Meetings and Compliance:
- Organize and lead monthly staff meetings, ensuring all team members are informed and engaged.
- Participate in investigations and develop corrective action plans for departmental complaints.
- Oversee peer review processes for clinical providers, identifying trends and educational opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and standards.

Professional Development:
- Engage in continuing education and maintain board certification.
- Adhere to mandatory annual requirements and stay current with necessary certifications.
- Participate in hospital committees to contribute to policy development and quality improvement initiatives.
