Position: Physician Assistant

At National Spine & Pain Centers (NSPC), we pride ourselves on a legacy of excellence, innovative treatment methodologies, and a commitment to delivering long-lasting patient outcomes.

We are currently in search of a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our esteemed team. This role involves conducting patient evaluations and managing medication in alignment with outpatient, procedure-oriented care plans.

Note: All Physician Assistants are eligible for a quarterly bonus in addition to their base salary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather comprehensive patient medical histories and perform thorough physical examinations as directed by the supervising physician.
  • Independently conduct follow-up appointments in accordance with organizational guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring data integrity during each consultation.
  • Evaluate diagnostic test results to determine the necessity for additional appointments and treatment strategies.
  • Formulate medical care plans under the supervision of a physician, including the recommendation of treatment options and regular assessment of patient needs and responses.
  • Deliver high-quality care while adhering to all productivity metrics established by the organization.
  • Act as a resource and educator for patients, providing ongoing information, counseling, and support.
  • Assist in medical emergencies by following established drug protocols, administering first aid, and effectively utilizing emergency equipment.
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic clinical environment by complying with all infection control policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all legal and professional standards by maintaining necessary licensure, staying informed about relevant legislation, and advising management on required actions.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed, including maintaining logs and assisting with patient documentation.
  • Comply with all federal and state regulations, the NSPC Code of Conduct, and applicable healthcare laws.
  • Understand and enforce all NSPC policies, procedures, and privacy regulations.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Active and valid practitioner license.
  • Master's Degree from an accredited graduate program and current NCCPA or AANPCP certification.
  • Possession of or eligibility for a valid license, DEA, and NPI in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
  • Exceptional patient care skills with an understanding of the legal implications in healthcare.
  • Familiarity with healthcare operations and best practice standards, particularly in specialty care.
  • Experience with EMR and/or Electronic Practice Management systems, preferably Centricity and Modernizing Medicine.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating resourcefulness and initiative.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service through effective communication with diverse populations.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of a background check, including driving records, criminal history, employment references, education verification, and OIG exclusions.
