Job Overview

Position: Physician Assistant

At National Spine & Pain Centers (NSPC), we pride ourselves on a legacy of excellence, innovative treatment methodologies, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

We are currently looking for a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our esteemed team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting patient evaluations and managing medication as part of outpatient, procedure-oriented care plans.

Note: All Physician Assistants are eligible for a quarterly bonus in addition to their base salary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather comprehensive patient medical histories and perform thorough physical examinations as directed by the supervising physician.
  • Independently conduct follow-up appointments in accordance with organizational guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure data integrity during each consultation.
  • Interpret diagnostic test results to determine the necessity for further appointments and treatment alternatives.
  • Collaborate with the supervising physician to formulate medical care plans, recommending treatment options and assessing patient responses to therapies.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care while adhering to company productivity metrics.
  • Act as a resource for patients, providing education, counseling, and ongoing support.
  • Assist in medical emergencies by following established protocols, administering first aid, and effectively utilizing emergency equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control standards to maintain a safe clinical environment.
  • Uphold all legal and professional standards by maintaining licensure and staying informed on relevant legislation.
  • Perform administrative tasks as required, including maintaining logs and assisting with patient documentation.
  • Adhere to all federal and state compliance regulations, including the NSPC Code of Conduct and applicable healthcare laws.
  • Understand and enforce all NSPC policies, procedures, and privacy regulations.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid practitioner license.
  • A Master's Degree from an accredited program and current NCCPA or AANPCP certification.
  • Eligibility for a valid license, DEA, and NPI in the state of practice.
  • Current certifications in CPR, BLS, and ACLS.
  • Strong patient care skills with an understanding of the legal implications in healthcare.
  • Familiarity with healthcare operations and best practice standards, particularly in specialty care.
  • Proficiency in EMR and Electronic Practice Management systems, preferably Centricity and Modernizing Medicine.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service through effective communication with diverse populations.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of a background check, including driving records, criminal history, employment references, and education verification.
