Job Overview

BetterPay is a rapidly growing company in the merchant services industry, seeking a highly driven and visionary Director of Sales and Strategic Partnerships to lead and expand our independent sales partner network and drive the growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that align with company goals and consistently drive results.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of effective sales processes that enhance both the sales process and overall partner experience.
  • Collaborate closely with our independent sales partners throughout the sales process, offering product training, preparing proposals, providing marketing collateral, and delivering full sales support to help them close deals.
  • Communicate product information and updates to our sales partners, ensuring they are always informed about new offerings and features.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with independent sales partners, fostering trust, loyalty, and collaboration.
  • Recruit and grow the base of independent sales partners, expanding our reach and market penetration.
  • Ensure accurate sales reporting and regularly review sales activities, targets, and achievements.
  • Consistently meet or exceed established sales quotas, demonstrating leadership in driving results.
  • Analyze the market and uncover new opportunities and strategies to grow sales and capture more market share.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, with at least 1 year in sales management, preferably within the merchant services industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data and trends to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Proven skill in forecasting sales performance to meet or exceed targets.
  • Proven experience managing client and sales agent relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of motivating sales teams.
  • Experience in guiding independent sales partners and collaborating across departments to align sales and marketing strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Deep understanding of merchant services products and services.
  • Experience in advertising and marketing is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Based in the New York Tri-State area or open to strong remote candidates.
