About the Role:
The Supply Chain Strategy and Project Management Office is redefining CVS's Supply Chain to meet customer needs at every stage of their health journey. Our vision for the future is a streamlined, efficient supply chain that leverages cutting-edge automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation System Design:
Craft innovative automation solutions for warehouse operations, focusing on material handling, sorting, picking, and packing through advanced technologies such as robotics and conveyor systems. - System Integration:
Work collaboratively with teams across operations, IT, and logistics to ensure seamless integration of automation systems with existing warehouse management platforms. - Installation Oversight:
Manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of automation equipment, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational requirements. - Performance Enhancement:
Monitor system performance post-implementation, conduct time studies, and identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements through data analysis. - Training and Documentation:
Assist in creating training materials and process documentation, and provide training to warehouse personnel on the operation and maintenance of automation systems. - Compliance and Safety Assurance:
Ensure that all automation equipment and processes comply with relevant regulations and safety standards. - Operational Readiness Planning:
Develop comprehensive plans for operational readiness, detailing implementation strategies, deployment schedules, staffing needs, and training requirements to facilitate a smooth transition to automated operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting, with a proven track record in designing and implementing automation solutions. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is essential. Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Skills:
Strong technical expertise in PLC programming, robotics, and industrial communication protocols. Proficiency in CAD software for system design is advantageous. Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
The typical pay range for this position is between $64,000 and $190,700 annually. This range reflects the base salary for all roles within the job grade. Actual salary offers will depend on various factors, including experience and education.
