The Position:
We are in search of an Inventory Operations Supervisor to enhance our team. This role requires a proactive leader skilled in managing intricate processes and guiding teams effectively.
The successful candidate will facilitate robust communication among internal departments, including warehousing, external manufacturing, customer supply chain, and logistics, ensuring that inventory is strategically positioned to meet demand.
This individual will spearhead weekly communications with both internal and external partners, fostering a collaborative and productive business relationship.
Additionally, the Inventory Operations Supervisor will maintain precise and efficient inventory records while addressing various challenges within the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Provide strong direction and support to team members, cultivating a positive and efficient work atmosphere.
Performance Oversight:
Establish clear performance goals, offer constructive feedback, and conduct regular evaluations to promote individual and team development.
Develop inventory strategies based on data analysis from third-party logistics, customer supply chain, and planning, while implementing innovative solutions to overcome bottlenecks and other challenges.
Act as the primary problem solver for daily inventory challenges, particularly those related to urgent orders and production timing.
Conduct weekly discussions with top third-party logistics providers and internal stakeholders to review inventory capacity and proactively address emerging issues.
Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports on critical metrics concerning inventory capacity, health, and quality assurance issues impacting inventory.
Facilitate discussions to prioritize inventory placement and allocation based on customer needs and business objectives.
Lead initiatives to address and resolve internal stakeholder concerns, ensuring prompt and satisfactory outcomes.
Collaborate with Accounting and Finance departments to reconcile daily transactions, ensuring operational activities are accurately reflected in financial records for reporting periods.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline is preferred.
5+ years of experience in Supply Chain operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience in Food, Beverage, and/or Consumer Packaged Goods is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
Proven track record in driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal teams and external partners.
Proficient in executing solutions and implementing new processes for an efficient operational framework.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
Ability to work collaboratively across functions and present summary-level information to key stakeholders.
Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
