Operations Manager, Inventory Specialist

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager, Inventory to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our inventory management efforts, ensuring that our products are in the right place, at the right time. This individual will be responsible for fostering effective communication between internal departments, including warehouse, external manufacturing, customer supply chain, and transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Provide strong leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations to drive individual and team growth.
- Inventory Strategies: Create and implement effective inventory strategies, analyzing data from 3PLs, customer supply chain, and planning to deliver innovative processes that address bottlenecks and other issues.
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Monitor logistics and maintain supply chain inventory and records, finding cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
- Problem Solving: Serve as the primary problem solver and go-to person for day-to-day inventory-related issues, especially those concerning last-minute orders and challenges arising from production timing.
- Communication: Conduct weekly meetings with top 3PLs and internal stakeholders to address inventory capacity levels and proactively manage any arising issues.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Manufacturing and Logistics teams to minimize out of stocks and effectively address order-related challenges.
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports on essential metrics related to inventory capacity, health, and QA-related issues impacting inventory.
- Inventory Management: Ensure timely and accurate entry and review of transfer orders and newly produced inventory.
- Inventory Placement and Allocation: Facilitate discussions to prioritize inventory placement and allocation based on customer requirements and business priorities.
- Stakeholder Management: Lead efforts to review and resolve internal stakeholder issues, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
- Financial Reconciliation: Work closely with the Accounting and Finance departments to reconcile daily transactions, ensuring that operational activities are accurately reflected in the financial records for month-end and financial reporting periods.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain operations with at least 3+ years in a leadership position.
- Industry Experience: Food, Beverage, and/or CPG experience strongly preferred.
- Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Continuous Improvement: Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and projects to support new business initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external customers.
- Technical Skills: Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to utilize advanced functions, pivot tables, and data analysis tools effectively.
- NetSuite Experience: NetSuite experience preferred.
