Position Overview

The Inventory Control Operations Manager is accountable for ensuring that all operational standards of PACCAR are upheld consistently. This role involves fostering and promoting the core values and mission of PACCAR and Dynacraft while ensuring compliance with established operational standards, including Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Procedural guidelines.

Division Overview

Dynacraft, a subsidiary of PACCAR, is located in McKinney, TX, and specializes in the manufacturing of medium- and heavy-duty truck components sold under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF brands. With over fifty years of experience, Dynacraft supplies high-quality parts and services to PACCAR's truck divisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations of safety incidents, including root cause analysis and follow-up actions.
  • Engage in initiatives related to recruitment, training, and leadership development.
  • Establish daily operational priorities and monitor progress towards achieving objectives.
  • Oversee daily inventory management activities across Dynacraft facilities.
  • Manage production scheduling and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) tasks for Dynacraft Louisville.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in safety, quality, efficiency, and inventory accuracy, and implement action plans.
  • Collaborate with process engineers and team leaders to ensure comprehensive training for associates.
  • Verify daily attendance and timekeeping for team members.
  • Document root cause analyses for inventory discrepancies and propose corrective measures.
  • Effectively manage the deployment of team members.
  • Train and assess the performance of department personnel, providing constructive feedback and conducting evaluations.
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding plant-related matters and follow-up actions.
  • Acknowledge and reward team members for exceptional performance.
Qualifications
  • Proven ability to supervise, make informed decisions, and exercise independent judgment.
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma Minitab software is advantageous.
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in production or distribution is required.
  • Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Flexibility to travel between Dynacraft facilities as needed.
Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
