Retail Finance Specialist

Läderach North America is in search of a Retail Finance Specialist. This is a full-time, hybrid position. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail and a passion for numerical analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Retail Finance Specialist will assist in the daily operations related to the development, generation, and upkeep of financial analytics and reporting for the retail and E-Commerce sectors.

This role will primarily focus on the Retail Channel and requires the candidate to be based in the Dallas area.

Responsibilities include conducting reporting and analysis for month-end closure, which encompasses sales reconciliations, payroll assessments, updating margin calculations, and maintaining monthly and year-to-date profit and loss statements, as well as cost center files for operational expense reviews.

Support the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Retail division, including month-end actuals, invoiced merchandise, and seasonal sales analysis by account.

Execute month-end closing tasks, such as account evaluations, accruals, rental adjustments, reclassifications, and various journal entries to enhance cost precision.

Reporting Duties: Update and disseminate daily and weekly sales summaries for the Directly Operated Stores, Outlet, and E-commerce channels.

Assist in budgeting and reporting activities with a focus on labor costs, revenue, operating expenses, and more.

Monitor financial performance, identify trends across key performance indicators, and analyze significant variances to uncover underlying causes.

Conduct seasonal analysis on actual bookings and related margins by category and customer.

Support the product pricing strategy by managing price adjustments within the system.

Generate ad hoc reports and perform analyses as needed.

Continuously seek opportunities for enhancing internal systems, reporting controls, and operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience in Retail and E-Commerce sectors
  • Strong technical accounting and analytical capabilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP), along with basic PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with Power BI is essential
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities and deadlines
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) across all organizational levels
  • Strong time management abilities
