As a Retail Sales Specialist at The Azek Company, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the sale of our innovative Azek and TimberTech products through retail home centers. Your focus will be on cultivating strong relationships with retail personnel, delivering product training, and assisting the ProDesk with sales initiatives. Additionally, you will engage contractors in our loyalty program, reporting directly to a Regional Sales Manager.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Establishing and nurturing relationships across various retail levels, including District Managers, Store Managers, and Pro Sales Representatives.
- Setting financial objectives and strategic plans to enhance the profitability of the retail channel within your designated territory.
- Communicating effectively with Distributor Outside Sales representatives, TimberTech representatives, and retail staff to elevate brand awareness and sales, including training retail associates on special-order processes.
- Expanding the range of special orders available at retail locations.
- Acting as a point of contact for sales and service inquiries within your assigned area.
- Conducting in-store product demonstrations to showcase the value of our offerings.
- Visiting customers on-site to ensure satisfaction, encourage renewals, solicit referrals, and identify upselling opportunities.
- Maintaining special-order display setups in retail environments within your region.
- Ensuring that TimberTech displays and promotional materials are current and well-maintained.
- Investigating warranty claims in the field and coordinating with the Warranty department as needed.
- Contributing to the formulation of the annual sales strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
- Driving sales performance to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications for Success:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- One to three years of experience in an external sales role, preferably with retail home centers.
- A proactive attitude in a dynamic environment, demonstrating high energy and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of communicating effectively with both senior management and a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Willingness to travel overnight up to 60% of the time.
