Key Responsibilities:

  • Employ strong interpersonal and communication skills to generate referral business and foster relationships with a diverse range of individuals and professionals in the Real Estate industry.
  • Cross-promote First United Bank & Trust products and services.
  • Enhance the visibility of First United within assigned markets in partnership with bank staff.
  • Thoroughly complete loan applications and evaluate applicant information to ascertain the appropriateness of the desired loan program.
  • Review credit reports and borrower documentation to ensure precision and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Present suitable loan alternatives based on the borrower's financial situation, future aspirations, and preferences.
  • Forward necessary loan documentation to the processing department for further evaluation and approval.
  • Assist borrowers throughout the application, approval, and closing processes, ensuring a smooth experience for clients.
  • Participate in loan closings while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
  • Achieve or surpass First United's best practices and production benchmarks.
  • Engage in scheduled production meetings.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while adhering to ethical standards and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Additional Duties:

  • Execute tasks as directed by Executive Management or Supervisor.
  • Comply with all First United Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.

Employee Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates must effectively perform each essential duty. The qualifications outlined below emphasize the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a mortgage lending environment.
  • Demonstrated success in sales within the mortgage lending sector.
  • Currently serving as a Mortgage Financing Specialist, successfully closing at least 2 self-sourced loans monthly.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently while also following directions as necessary.
  • Proven technical knowledge of Bank, Mortgage, Federal, and State lending regulations.
