Position Overview:
Revenue Accountant Role
The Revenue Accountant is essential in ensuring precise recording and reporting of the revenue cycle. This role requires expertise in ASC 606 and a commitment to driving process enhancements in a dynamic environment. Reporting directly to the Director of Revenue Accounting, this position plays a crucial part in the financial success and expansion of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and review sales contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition
  • Prepare and maintain revenue schedules and journal entries using NetSuite
  • Collaborate with various teams to resolve revenue-related challenges and ensure compliance
  • Monitor and reconcile revenue accounts during month-end closing
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support the FP&A team
  • Facilitate external audits and identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Work alongside teams to enhance revenue recognition processes
  • Support M&A initiatives related to revenue
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
  • CPA certification is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in SaaS revenue
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606, financial statements, and account reconciliation
  • Preference for candidates located in the Chicagoland area
