Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and supervising a wide range of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to incorporate project requirements and determine specifications.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables, and create RFP packages for General Contractors.
  • Hire contractors and vendors, negotiate pricing and terms, and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
  • Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and shop drawings, and review contractor pay applications.
  • Plan construction operations, schedule intermediate phases, and manage project changes, including change orders and RFIs.
  • Manage construction schedules, adapt full FFE schedules, and conduct regular project meetings with the design and construction teams.
  • Evaluate project progress, prepare detailed reports, and conduct quality control inspections to ensure project compliance.
  • Oversee final inspections, ensure punch list items are completed, and facilitate project handover to the owner's operations and maintenance team.
  • Prepare and finalize all project documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, and O&M documents.
Requirements
  • Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Proven experience as a construction project manager, with in-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  • Ability to read and understand full construction drawings and specifications, and familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Excel and Project, and familiarity with construction/project management software.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States, and a minimum age of 18 years.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of project management experience, with a team player attitude and leadership abilities.
  • Owner Representative experience, with a BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • PMP or equivalent certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Work a varying schedule, with standard office hours, and be able to travel for work.
  • Sit comfortably for long periods, utilizing a computer, and perform functions requiring organization, bending, reaching, turning, and lifting.
  • Manual dexterity to use and operate necessary equipment, and ability to understand, follow, and maintain safety standards.
