Client Relations Specialist

The Customer Service Representative III plays a crucial role in ensuring that customer expectations are accurately identified and fully satisfied. This position may involve supporting specific clients or designated regions.
Daily Responsibilities- Handle customer inquiries through various communication channels.
- Verify the accuracy of customer purchase orders and request modifications when necessary.
- Oversee order processing and assignment.
- Manage the creation, modification, and extension of customer accounts.
- Document interactions and utilize SAP as required.
- Inform customers of any issues or changes regarding their orders and work towards timely resolutions.
- Develop order workflows for pricing approvals.
- Place orders on hold and assign appropriate reason codes.
- Process and monitor PIA orders, including the request for proforma invoices and reminders for overdue payments.
- Collaborate with collections to address accounts with overdue invoices to minimize delays in new orders.
- Expedite orders to achieve improved shipping dates as necessary.
- Build and nurture customer relationships, de-escalating issues and escalating to the appropriate personnel or department when needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.
- Prepare quotations for customers.
- Coordinate with the sales team and other departments within Hubbell.
- Assist customers with basic technical inquiries.
- Generate daily backlog reports and keep customers informed about delayed orders.
- Manage customer returns and credit requests.
- Complete export documentation for international orders.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED is required; a college degree is preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of prior experience in customer service.
- Experience in a manufacturing or custom order environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of international account/export compliance is advantageous.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with SAP and Salesforce experience being a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and prioritization abilities.
- Account and project management skills.
- Able to multitask effectively.
