About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Bridgeport Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room and instruments for surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical personnel during operations
  • Verify patient identity and maintain asepsis and disinfection protocols
  • Participate in surgical case presentations and demonstrate knowledge of normal and pathological anatomy and physiology
  • Follow principles of correct hand scrub, gown, and gloves, and complete scrub protocol before each case
Requirements
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program or formal program as defined by the LCCST
  • Completion of a licensed Certified Surgical Technology Program
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
