Position Overview

SAIC is looking for a dedicated professional to serve as the Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) Mission Lead. This role is crucial for maintaining comprehensive situational awareness of DCO activities across various components. The DCO Mission Lead will be responsible for monitoring DCO missions, performing detailed analyses, and providing strategic recommendations to enhance command and control (C2) decisions within the Cyber Mission Force (CMF).

The operational team follows a rotating schedule every 10 weeks, which includes 12-hour shifts and 8-hour support days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and track DCO missions, ensuring all necessary information is available for effective USCYBERCOM C2 operations.
  • Continuously update operational products with the latest and most relevant information.
  • Advise the Battle Captain on decisions and risk assessments aligned with current operational priorities.
  • Analyze reports from USCYBERCOM components regarding CMF team status and operational updates.
  • Review intelligence products pertinent to ongoing DCO missions as required.
  • Assess information from the CMF to recommend timely actions that safeguard DOD capabilities.
  • Examine identified indicators of compromise and assist in supplementary analyses for attribution and impact assessment.
  • Identify information requirements essential for addressing cyberspace vulnerabilities or threats.
  • Prepare the DCO briefing script for the Morning Update Brief.
  • Present the DCO segment during the Morning Update Brief.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree with nine years of experience in Cyberspace Analysis or a related field.
  • Additional relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Possession of DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAM Level II Certification, CSSP Incident Responder, or CSSP Infrastructure Support is required.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Clearance Requirements:

  • An active TS/SCI with Poly clearance is mandatory.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
