The Senior Engineer will offer expert guidance on the development and execution of cyber ranges, systems administration, cybersecurity measures, and account management support.

This position requires full-time on-site engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced technical expertise to facilitate large-scale cyber exercises and multi-faceted cyber operations.
  • Act as the primary consultant for cyber range operations supporting defensive and offensive cyber activities.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team of cyber operators, delivering insights to enhance DCO and OCO operations.
Required Qualifications
  • Proficient understanding of the Joint Events Life Cycle (JELC) and both defensive and offensive cyber tools.
  • Strong knowledge of networking principles, including DNS, routing, and TCP/IP troubleshooting.
  • Experience with MS, Active Directory, Security Onion, and VMWare.
  • Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Identity Management and Single Sign-On (SSO) utilizing LDAP.
  • Ability to translate cyber mission training and rehearsal objectives into actionable event scenarios.
  • Support the design and execution of cyber range events.
  • Provide specialized knowledge on system architecture, authentication, and security protocols.
  • Fulfill on-call responsibilities as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all event-related activities.
  • Deliver expert-level IT, virtual environment, and network support.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation in a dynamic environment, collaborating with engineers of varying expertise.
  • Exhibit sensitivity and adaptability to client needs and requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of DNS, including authoritative and recursive servers.
  • Knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
  • Experience with Exchange server configurations and mailbox management.
  • Familiarity with Security Onion or SPLUNK, including enterprise configurations.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with leadership and technical teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
  • Engage with vendors and users to understand operational requirements and changes.
  • Proficient in resolving technical issues across integrated software and hardware platforms.
  • 4+ years of experience with CNO/CNE/CND platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience in cyber training and validation exercises.
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification.
  • Associate degree in a relevant technical field from an accredited institution.
Security Clearance Requirements
  • Must possess a TS SCI security clearance and may be required to undergo a Counterintelligence (CI) screening if selected.
