POSITION SUMMARY:

The Cyber Security Operations Specialist Tier 3 is responsible for providing advanced support in the realm of cyber security incident management. This role involves leading efforts in containment, eradication, and recovery from security incidents, ensuring the integrity and security of sensitive information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver expert Tier 3 CSOC services, focusing on the coordination and execution of strategies for containment, eradication, and recovery from cyber incidents.
  • Engage in regular training exercises and simulations to enhance incident response effectiveness.
  • Oversee and implement necessary actions during cyber security incidents, including containment strategies and user account management.
  • Collaborate with relevant authorities to generate comprehensive security incident reports and classify incidents accordingly.
  • Work alongside various organizations to ensure effective containment, eradication, and recovery from security incidents.
  • Create detailed timelines, briefings, and reports to keep stakeholders informed about incident response efforts and analyses.
  • Perform thorough digital media investigations on hosts, servers, and network data to address incidents.
  • Identify and develop indicators of compromise, providing insights into adversary activities.
  • Coordinate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 CSOC services to address discrepancies and prevent future incidents.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security or a related field, coupled with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • An active TS/SCI clearance, with the capability to obtain a Polygraph.
  • Participate as a member of the Cyber Incident Response Team (C-IRT) as necessary, taking direction from the Government C-IRT Commander.
  • Formulate and execute action plans in collaboration with various stakeholders to conduct Defensive Cyberspace Operations.
  • Contribute to the creation and coordination of daily CSOC reports and weekly status updates.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of resolved CSOC Tier 2 tickets.
PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • IAT III certification.
