Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, revise, and create security authorization and accreditation documentation to ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices in relation to systems and client requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Federal clients to develop and refine security-related documentation that accurately reflects the security posture of the IT system, as directed by government and federal program managers.
- Assist in the preparation of various security documentation or reports as necessary to support client engagements.
- Support ISSOs in their duties concerning systems, including enterprise security support, risk management, and system vulnerability management (POA&M maintenance for the Risk Management Framework Portal (RMFP)).
- Help Federal clients in reviewing or amending security documentation to ensure quality and accuracy in client deliverables.
- Work alongside Engineers and System Administrators to accurately document data flows, system architecture, and other essential diagrams/charts.
- Utilize various security tools such as NESSUS, AppDetective, Web Inspect, AppScan, etc.
- Provide necessary administrative support, including but not limited to:
- Compiling or contributing to weekly client status reports (e.g., completed deliverables) and project plans.
- Assisting with meeting minutes and action items as required.
- Participating in client meetings in person, unless otherwise specified.
- Promote industry best practices on behalf of Tetra Tech's Cyber Solutions Practice. Contribute to business development efforts by creating and developing white papers and innovative solutions.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Information Security for federal systems or 6+ years with a master's degree in cybersecurity; relevant cybersecurity certification.
- Comprehensive understanding of laws, directives, and orders related to IT security and Federal government agency oversight.
- Extensive knowledge of NIST 800 series publications, including: 800-30, 800-37, 800-53, and 800-53a.
- Proven experience with all phases of the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Technical expertise in areas such as Network Engineering, Systems Administration, and Application Development. Hands-on experience with security tools like NESSUS, AppDetective, Web Inspect, AppScan, etc.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to swiftly adapt to client needs, environments, policies, and procedures.
- Proactive and self-motivated work style.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Interim or Active Secret Clearance is mandatory. This role requires a clearance and/or badge that involves a thorough background, credit, and drug history screening.
- Security+, CAP, CISM, CISSP, or equivalent certification from a recognized and reputable organization is preferred.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
