The Operations Site Manager is accountable for overseeing all financial, personnel development, and operational goals at the facility. This role encompasses the comprehensive management of site operations and functions.
Key responsibilities include leading and developing a team of Operations and Area Managers, providing coaching and mentorship to ensure performance targets are achieved, fostering positive employee relations, and enhancing leadership capabilities within the Fulfillment Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates the establishment of quality improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and Lean methodologies to empower their functional area and ultimately the Fulfillment Center to achieve and surpass business objectives.
- Ensures the overall safety, quality, performance, and customer satisfaction of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
- Defines and clarifies expectations and requirements for Operations and Area Managers. Evaluates performance, delivers feedback, and holds Operations Managers accountable for their results and departmental performance.
- Utilizes the Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and cultivating ideas, integrating them into the development of improvement strategies for the functional area.
- Takes proactive measures to guarantee that best practices are disseminated across all departments, shifts, and throughout the network.
- Collaborates closely with support teams (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other Senior Operations Managers) to secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, while also providing necessary assistance for other staff initiatives.
Additional Job Elements:
- Ability to lift and transport totes weighing up to 49 pounds each.
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Frequent walking throughout the Fulfillment Center and surrounding areas; facilities extend over a quarter mile.
- Continuous standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily.
- Capability to work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, or not air-conditioned.
- Ability to access all areas of the building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - A completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- 7+ years of direct management experience, including overseeing a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production, or distribution setting.
- Experience with performance metrics, process enhancement, and Lean techniques.
- Familiarity with the complete staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations.
- Flexibility to work various hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience managing a contingent workforce during peak seasons.
- Aptitude for handling shifting priorities and exercising sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
- Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple Fulfillment Centers nationwide.

The base pay for this position ranges from $108,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $200,900/year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
