Position: Executive Assistant I

Department: Mervyn M. Dymally College of Nursing

Charles R. Drew University is in search of a skilled Executive Assistant to deliver high-level administrative support to the Dean of the College of Nursing. The successful candidate will undertake a range of administrative responsibilities, including organizing office logistics, managing schedules, and overseeing financial reports. This position demands a proactive individual with outstanding communication abilities and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide confidential administrative assistance to the Dean
  • Oversee office space development
  • Draft business correspondence and reports
  • Manage schedules and handle sensitive documentation
  • Track account spending and maintain budgetary information
  • Coordinate the preparation and distribution of documents
  • Assist in budget formulation and project oversight
  • Prepare agendas and facilitate team meetings
  • Create PowerPoint presentations and Excel documents

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience in an Executive Assistant role
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
