Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Guest Service Agent at Kingsmill Resort. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration and Check-in: Register guests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all necessary information is collected and processed accurately.
  • Payment Processing and Account Management: Process payments, post charges to guest accounts, and balance all receipts and postings for work performed during shift.
  • Guest Relations and Communication: Maintain positive guest relations at all times, respond to guest inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and take, record, and relay messages accurately and thoroughly.
  • Room Assignments and Key Management: Assign guest rooms, issue keys, and ensure guest security at all times, in accordance with Kingsmill Resort's established guidelines.
  • Reservation Management: Make, confirm, assist, and cancel reservations, including promoting and selling location activities.
  • Knowledge and Information: Maintain complete knowledge of all location facilities, locations, room types, hours of operations, and activities, in order to answer questions and provide accurate and helpful information to guests.
  • Telephone Etiquette and Communication: Answer telephones in a timely and professional manner, using correct greetings and telephone etiquette.
  • Lost and Found Management: Conscientiously handle Lost and Found items, following guidelines established by Kingsmill Resort.
  • Cash Handling and Security: Accurately follow cash handling procedures, secure bank at all times, and maintain complete knowledge of correct use of company equipment.
Requirements
  • Human Relations Skills: Possess excellent human relation skills, with the ability to thrive in a public contact environment.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse people and resolve issues effectively.
  • Computer Skills: Possess general/basic computer skills, with the ability to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately.
  • Sales and Accounting Skills: Demonstrate sales skills, with the ability to promote and sell location activities, and basic accounting skills, with the ability to balance all receipts and postings.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for up to eight hours per shift, lift and carry up to 15 pounds, and perform bending, stretching, and reaching throughout a shift.
  • Availability: Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with a valid driver's license.
