We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Lead GIS Analyst to enhance our energy sector initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The Lead GIS Analyst will be tasked with the development and execution of GIS workflows, protocols, and data management systems tailored to project requirements for a diverse range of clients. This role focuses on routing and siting studies for utility lines and linear projects. It presents an excellent opportunity for leadership, offering a fast-paced and challenging environment for high-profile projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, as this role necessitates direct collaboration with clients and external stakeholders.

As a senior member of our team, this position involves:

  • Oversight of junior staff
  • Creation and implementation of programmatic procedures
  • Ensuring quality and consistency of project deliverables in alignment with company and client standards

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in GIS, Geography, or a related discipline
  • 7-10 years of experience in GIS, with GIS Professional certification highly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in ESRI software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD software is advantageous
  • Experience in publishing and maintaining web-based mapping services and applications
  • Expertise in the collection and management of extensive datasets, including georeferencing site plans
  • Proven ability to analyze large datasets effectively
  • Capability to train and mentor junior GIS personnel on various data collection and mapping tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects
  • Direct experience with environmental datasets, utilities, and linear projects is strongly desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in diverse teams and independently
