Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Overview: SEACORP is actively looking for a Power Query and PowerBuilder Specialist. The selected candidate will be tasked with designing, developing, and maintaining data models utilizing Microsoft Power Query and Power BI. The ideal applicant will possess a solid foundation in relational database concepts, data analytics, and demonstrate proficiency in Power Query, Power BI, and Power Builder while collaborating with a Financial Lead and other Analysts.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and enhance data queries using Power Query to convert raw data into actionable formats.
  • Create and sustain data models in Power BI and PowerBuilder to facilitate efficient and scalable reporting solutions.
  • Comprehend data requirements and ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across diverse data sources.
  • Work alongside external data teams to integrate data from various systems and sources.
  • Guarantee the efficient and accurate operation of reports through independent alpha testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues based on alpha testing outcomes.
  • Customize and refine reports based on Financial Lead and stakeholder feedback during beta testing.
  • Develop Technical Development documentation and End-User Guides.

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.

Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience with Power Query, Power BI, and PowerBuilder, as well as data management and integration tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Data Warehouse, Navy ERP, and Navy Finance principles is advantageous.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office and Computer Laboratories - Involves sitting, standing, and extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard while viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of less than 40 lbs. Movement within the same office or between buildings is required. Work is conducted in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonal variations in temperature and lighting.
