MAU Workforce Solutions is seeking an Advanced Additive Manufacturing Technician for a prominent client. In this role, you will expertly manage the processing of components through both pre-print and post-print stages using a variety of advanced machinery in a cutting-edge development environment. Your focus will be on maintaining safety, ensuring quality, meeting delivery timelines, and managing costs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete processing cycle (setup, operation, teardown) of parts utilizing automated powder removal systems, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Handle the machining of additive components from build plates using Fanuc wire EDM and CNC saws, including troubleshooting and further machining as necessary.
  • Manage the resurfacing of build plates on a 3-axis milling machine.
  • Conduct manual support processes including grinding, polishing, and grit blasting of additive components.
  • Prepare and program parts for shot peening, including basic programming adjustments.
  • Perform all necessary quality inspections (visual and gauge) and document information in the Manufacturing Execution System.
  • Load and unload heat treatment furnaces as required.
  • Assist in the maintenance of metal 3D printers, including powder cleanup and equipment upkeep.
  • Utilize manual lathes, mills, drills, and saws for simple tooling modifications.
  • Execute basic 'water spider' duties, ensuring parts are queued for operations and resolving any issues.
  • Conduct Operator Preventative Maintenance (OPM) and troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when handling metal powders.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and Kaizen activities.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Physical Requirements:

This position may necessitate the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods in a manufacturing setting.
  • Capability to lift tools and components weighing over 35 pounds, including climbing onto machinery.
  • Willingness to wear PPE, including a Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) during powder handling.
