Position Overview:

Join Lockheed Martin as a Production Flightline APG, F-16 Technician Level 2, where you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and delivery of F-16 aircraft within our Greenville Production Team.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be tasked with inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, and modifying aircraft systems and powerplants, adhering to established procedures, specifications, and standards.

As a Production Flightline APG, F-16 Technician Level 2, your expertise will encompass a range of aircraft systems operations and maintenance, including:

  • Landing gear
  • Powerplants
  • Flight controls
  • Fueling and defueling operations
  • Aircraft movement, launch, and recovery
*Participation in the Hydrazine Response team is required.
  • Responsibilities include:• Understanding safety regulations, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Utilizing hands for grasping, handling, and reaching, as well as effective communication.
  • Engaging in physical activities such as standing, walking, kneeling, and working in and around aircraft.
  • Lifting and moving weights up to 50 pounds as necessary.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, free from foreign object debris (FOD).
  • Handling hazardous materials and chemicals in compliance with regulations and company policies.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

*Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and able to obtain a secret clearance.

Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


While performing essential functions, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required as necessary. The role may involve exposure to vibration.

Basic Qualifications:


Applicants must possess 3-8 years of relevant experience in aircraft production, overhaul, or modification, with a minimum of 4 years specifically in Legacy fighter flightline operations or closely related experience.

Experience with aircraft ground handling and testing equipment is essential.

Desired Skills:

Military flightline experience (F-16 preferred)

USAF Level 5 or Level 7 Craftsman certification or equivalent

A solid understanding of maintenance processes and documentation practices.

Ability to read and interpret technical data and engineering instructions.

Experience with Hydrazine response teams.

Capability to obtain a security clearance.

Prior experience with engine runs is advantageous.

Security Clearance Statement: This position necessitates a government security clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Remote Work Capability: This position is onsite full-time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin offers various alternate work schedules for added flexibility. These may include standard 40-hour weeks or condensed schedules, providing additional time away from the office alongside paid time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour days, with three days off each week.
