Role Summary

Gold Cross Services stands as the premier billing and collection agency for ambulance claims in Utah. We are seeking diligent individuals responsible for ensuring precise and prompt billing for medical transportation claims. This role involves assisting patients via phone with their inquiries and concerns, alongside managing all facets of the billing process. Our goal is to deliver outstanding customer service by guiding individuals through their insurance and payment options to resolve claims efficiently.

This is a full-time position, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with benefits including health and dental insurance, 401k and HSA matches, as well as vacation and sick leave. The starting pay is $19.00, with potential incentives upon full training completion, which can amount to an additional 15% of your base salary, equating to up to $494.00 extra monthly for new hires.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for customers by addressing patient calls and assisting them with inquiries related to their transport, charges, and verifying essential demographic information.
  • Collaborate directly with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to ensure claims are processed and paid efficiently.
  • Identify the correct insurances to be billed, ensuring compliance with state regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Reach out to patients to gather necessary information for claim processing.
  • Establish payment arrangements and assist with financial hardship situations.
  • Complete correspondence and manage documentation sent by patients and insurance companies.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Capability to stand, walk, sit, and move freely for extended periods.
  • Ability to work effectively in both team and individual settings.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new concepts.
