We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our team at USI Insurance Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing employee benefits insurance accounts and services, providing proactive support to clients, and acting as the primary contact between clients and insurance carriers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a book of business comprised of fully insured clients, with some self-insured clients.
- Provide personalized support to assigned clients, including preparation of materials for client meetings.
- Act as the primary contact between clients and insurance carriers, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Develop and implement programs recommended by technical resources, such as wellness, communications, and strategies.
- Market and place new benefit products, analyzing and comparing carrier quotes and coverage offerings.
- Make recommendations to clients, developing alternative strategies and cost reduction opportunities.
- Champion client cross-selling initiatives, developing customer accounts and conducting on-site meetings.
- Coordinate and manage client meetings, both virtually and in person, and develop employee communications for renewal changes and benefit updates.
- 2-4 years of experience in the employee benefits industry or related marketplace.
- Prior customer service experience is preferred.
- Must hold or be willing to earn a life and disability insurance license.
- Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines, working in a fast-paced team environment.
- Keep informed about industry information, technology, and trends.
