Key Responsibilities- Menu Development and Implementation: Assist the Resort Chef in creating and implementing menus that meet the high standards of our resort.
- Kitchen Operations Management: Oversee the efficient operation of the kitchen, including assigning duties to kitchen staff, communicating departmental information, and instructing personnel on food service policies and procedures.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks and utility workers, to ensure they are meeting the resort's standards.
- Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and cook food for guest consumption, following recipes and established standards.
- Sanitation and Safety: Ensure that kitchen and storage areas are maintained in a safe and sanitary manner, including checking food products for temperature and freshness, and cleaning and sanitizing equipment and surfaces.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, 3 years of cooking experience, 2 years of commercial kitchen experience, and 1 year of supervisory or sous chef experience.
- Skills and Knowledge: Ability to create recipes and menus, communicate effectively with guests and team members, provide guidance to staff, prioritize and perform multiple tasks, and maintain professionalism and composure.
