Responsibilities:

  • Manage Service Profit and Loss (P/L) for assigned branches
  • Forecast manpower requirements
  • Prioritize customer calls and advise dispatch accordingly
  • Ensure customer requirements are met and calls are completed on a timely basis
  • Approve work orders and ensure customer rules are accurately adhered to
  • Review dashboards and financial reports and take appropriate action
  • Oversee the procurement of parts and supplies
  • Maintain communication with customers and ensure their expectations are met
  • Resolve issues or problems that impact customer satisfaction
  • Manage and maintain fleet, parts, and materials inventory, and resolve discrepancies or problems in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and subcontractors

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in refrigeration/HVAC service, commercial construction, or a related industry, with previous managerial experience
  • Knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC principles and practices, including service hour estimation, labor forecasting, and multiple disciplines involved in area of responsibility
  • Proficiency in understanding and managing P&L
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • Proficiency in managing multiple assignments, setting and balancing competing priorities with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to solve problems and apply good judgment
  • Excellent verbal/nonverbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Communicate company direction, set expectations, and hold team accountable for results
  • Provide leadership, build a collaborative team, and reward accomplishments of the team
  • Interview, select, hire, and oversee onboarding of supervisors, team leads, and technicians
  • Ensure technicians are scheduled and dispatched efficiently, based on skill level, location, and call volume
  • Manage performance and provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to supervisors, team leads, and technicians
  • Use metrics to drive accountability and performance
  • Ensure compliance of Service policies and procedures, including eSo, refrigerant tracking, time and attendance, etc.
  • Ensure use of PPE and the application of safe behavior, including driving, by all employees
  • Ensure customer service and quality of work meet customer requirements and Source standards
