Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the surgical and anesthesia teams.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of surgical procedures, including scheduling and resource management.
  • Facilitate clear communication among surgical teams, anesthesia personnel, and other departments.
  • Maintain precise records of surgical procedures, patient data, and equipment utilization.
  • Support the creation and execution of protocols and procedures aimed at improving surgical efficiency and patient safety.
  • Address and resolve any challenges that may arise during surgical procedures to minimize interruptions.
  • Provide assistance in emergency situations, ensuring all necessary equipment and personnel are readily available.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff to guarantee optimal patient care and surgical results.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a veterinary surgical environment is essential.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic setting.
  • Knowledge of veterinary surgical practices, anesthesia protocols, and patient care.
  • Familiarity with veterinary practice management software and other relevant tools.

Schedule: Full-time, 5 x 8 hour shifts
