Administrative Assistant

The School Receptionist provides administrative support to the Purdue Polytechnic High School community by implementing efficient office systems, procedures, and policies. This role is responsible for maintaining a welcoming front office environment, ensuring the procurement of necessary supplies, and serving the needs of students, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Front Office Operations: Monitor and manage all incoming public traffic, ensuring a courteous and professional experience for guests and visitors.
- Communication and Correspondence: Prepare and distribute routine correspondence, including emails and letters, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Clerical and Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to various departments, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as needed.
- Attendance and Records: Assist in the direct supervision of the attendance process, oversee attendance accounting, and prepare attendance reports.
- Customer Service: Respond to the needs of students, families, and staff in a prompt and professional manner, providing immediate assistance and support.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse groups, including students, families, and staff.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in general office procedures, including typing, data entry, and other administrative tasks.
- Professionalism and Discretion: Project a professional image, maintaining confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
